“Beautiful well- located hotel”

The hotel is gorgeous, with a lovely atmosphere, very quiet, very clean, and high‑quality fixtures like the sink and bathroom. The décor is exceptional and the staff are friendly and attentive. The new cleaning schedule is a letdown: after visiting this hotel with my partner for four years, once a year for about four to six nights, it was perfect until last time when I was told upon arrival that the room would not be cleaned for the first three days. I realized this is similar to the Marriott hotels in Boston and Miami that I stayed at last year and this year. I think this “American” business strategy may work in the US, but for Europe and a Marriott Collection it’s a bit disappointing. I invite the Marriott CEOs to reconsider having these rooms cleaned more often. Just after three days of stay does not meet such a hotel’s standards.

The room and the building were very nice and clean. The breakfast was disappointing: it wasn’t replenished properly, we had to order coffee and tea at the bar, the eggs were very soft‑cooked, and when we asked for a hard‑boiled egg we received another soft one. This is a real area for improvement and it really bothered us.

“Will not go again”

The location is fine. The TV didn’t work, the phone in the room was broken, and the stairs in the room are absurdly steep and dangerous.

“Schöner Schein, wenig Qualität”

The interior is nice. The staff seemed uninterested, the windows wouldn’t open, and the hotel didn’t respond to emails.

The staff were not helpful. The room wasn’t cleaned the whole time. Towels and toilet paper were brought only after persistent requests. The staircase to the room had no elevator and was very steep. The staff didn’t even offer help or try to escort me to the room. The best parts were the location and the bar in the former Catholic cathedral.
