From the moment we arrived we were greeted with genuine warmth. The house itself is charming, perfectly placed and radiates a pleasant energy throughout the stay. We ended up having a truly great time there – thanks for the hospitality!

The hosts were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. Our room was roomy and tastefully decorated, and the whole place sits in a lovely Ticino village with beautiful hiking trails starting right from the doorstep. It made for a very enjoyable stay.

The property sits right beside the highway in a tiny mountain hamlet, which makes it easy to reach. It boasts a huge, well‑fitted shared bathroom, and the parking area is about 200 m away at the edge of the village. Just note you can’t leave a motorcycle directly in front of the building.

The inn is set in a beautiful part of the village, making it a nice break after a long drive. However, you’re essentially sharing the space with the owner couple, so it feels more like a couch‑surfing situation – you have to take off your shoes at the entrance, just like in a private home. That wasn’t clear to us beforehand, but it’s not a complaint, just something to be aware of.

Our host was exceptionally friendly, and the place serves as an ideal launchpad for a multi‑day mountain trek, with the Capanna Alpe Sponda as the first hut on the route. The location couldn’t be better for hikers looking to start their adventure.
