The condo sits close to the beach in a residential area, the street is quiet and safe, the place was clean and as described, and it’s spacious enough for two people. Mosquitoes were a nuisance.

We’ll never return to this place. We booked four nights, and on the second night—after arriving late the previous evening and heading straight to bed—we found small bugs under the countertop, which turned out to be cockroaches. The guest portal mentioned bug spray, but the listing didn’t warn about pests until after booking. We tried to handle the roaches ourselves, but after spotting them in the bathroom, on the floor, and on the bed, we texted the host at 12:07 a.m.; they replied at 8:30 a.m., saying we could get a refund for the two unused nights only if we left by 10:00 a.m. That was absurd given the short notice and our lack of sleep, yet we left by 10:00 a.m. The host then claimed they wouldn’t give a full refund because they supposedly had already taken a portion of the payment, but after we clarified, they said the refund was up to the property. They also insisted their cleaner found no bugs, and even after we sent photos, they argued that bugs are normal in any accommodation, ignoring that the photos were of the bugs we found. Their response was unacceptable, as if the guests had to deal with pests themselves.

It’s close to Key West Express, but the beds and bedding were terrible, the air conditioning was inadequate, and the furniture was cheap.

We had to cancel because the property couldn’t be used; the neighborhood was nasty and made us feel extremely unsafe. The area was terrifying.
