I was impressed by the hotel's beauty, cleanliness, and the comfortable bed, and I appreciated the variety of food options and the little touches like a record player in the room. However, the site promised a soundproof room, which turned out to be inaccurate; the floors above were noisy, and I could hear the cleaning staff as if they were inside my room. The terrace didn't match the advertisement, and while I liked seeing the building’s history, the price made me decide not to stay again. The rooftop bar was enjoyable and the food good, but it was very loud.
The décor is gorgeous and stylish, but the elevators are a real hassle.
I appreciated the kettle and the large water glasses in the room, and getting water was effortless; on one of my two stays the blanket was tucked into a sheet pocket, keeping it fully inside and making the bed very cozy. However, there was no microwave in the room, and on my other stay the blanket lay between two separate sheets, slipping out and being less comfortable and inconvenient.

The location was excellent, breakfast was good, the bar had a well-stocked supply of Italian espresso in the room; a turntable played great retro music… in the hallway there were taps for sparkling and still water. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff were kind. From the breakfast area you could see squirrels running along the tram wires.
The hotel’s historic vibe and great spot are a plus, and the rooftop restaurant is nice, but the rooms feel cramped.
