Kethumathee Hotel & Banquet

The rooms were fantastic and spotless, and the shared spaces were gorgeous. The staff were truly amazing—friendly, warm, and always ready to help with anything. The hotel also offers a very reasonable breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet featuring tasty traditional Sri Lankan dishes. They have event and conference rooms; we used one for a work event and the staff went above and beyond to cater to everyone’s needs and make the event a success. If you want a clean hotel with outstanding staff and great dining, this is the place in Ratnapura.

“Bien mais très bruyant”

Our room was spotless and roomy, the fixtures were very comfortable (the shower was amazing) and the hotel staff truly cared about our satisfaction, but we spent three nights hearing loud music and shouting from parties on the second floor right above us, which kept us awake; the staff tried their best, yet I can’t recommend a place where you can’t sleep, and it would help to note any scheduled parties at booking time.

The rooms were clean, especially the bathrooms, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant was cheap yet tasty. However, there was constant loud noise from the parties downstairs, though the manager was understanding and lowered the music; a cockroach was also found in the inner courtyard in front of our rooms.
