Located between Florence's Ponte Vecchio bridge and Palazzo Pitti, Hotel La Scaletta al Ponte Vecchio is a 15th-century building on the River Arno's banks. The rooftop terrace offers panoramic views year-round. Air-conditioned rooms feature hardwood floors, LCD TVs, minibars, and free Wi-Fi. Enjoy continental breakfast, Tuscan cuisine, and drinks at the bar and restaurant, or on the outdoor terrace from May to September.

Very pleasant and close to everything. Nice terrace with superb view. Slightly loud AC. Shared toilet outside the door.

The place is fantastic and the rooftop bar offers great views; we stayed on a group floor in a courtyard garden room and my husband was thrilled when we found the corridor ran over our room. We skipped breakfast, the room was comfortable and clean, not overly large but sufficient for our needs. The walls were a bit thin, so we could hear the next door’s shower, toilet, and a family with small kids on the first night, including a crying child running around. There is a lift, but many steps still lead to the rooftop bar and the breakfast room/restaurant, which is worth it, though it could be a problem if you have difficulty walking.

The spot is great in a very old historic building, the staff are excellent and the roof bar terrace is lovely. The room itself was very small.

The staff were incredible, really helpful and genuinely friendly. The hotel smells gorgeous thanks to the beautiful diffusers scattered around. The location is perfect, with numerous cafés and restaurants within walking distance, the Ponte Vecchio bridge at one end of the street, and the Pitti Palace at the other. Lots of lovely shops to explore, and the main attractions are all within a 15‑minute (slow) walk. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend. I loved everything, but there are many stairs and only a very small lift, which others may not like.
