The hotel was old, quiet, and expensive for its condition, with unreliable service and no breakfast included at that price. I had to ask for soap, an anti‑mosquito spray, and buy bottled water because there was no filtered water.

I stayed in rooms that cost about 1000 or more, which included parking and morning breakfast, but the TV that was listed wasn’t available, and there was no soap or handwash or dustbin. It wasn’t worth the price. It’s okay for friends, but not for partners. The TV was missing, there were no dustbins, the room was hot, no handwash or soap, no water in the shower, and the room was quite small.

The lodge was very cosy and exceptionally clean. The owner was very polite, cooperative and always ready to make you feel at home. It was a very good stay at Deki lodge. The attached garden adds to the beauty of the lodge. The location is convenient and is at a walking distance from the city centre

The staff’s husband was nice. The room faced a flower garden and had two windows.

I had a nice and comfortable 3‑day stay at Deki Lodge, Kalimpong. The place is clean, well kept, and very close to the market. Special mention to the caretaker, Mr. Kamal—very gentle, polite, and always helpful. Would definitely recommend this place.
