We were greeted with such warmth and friendliness, and the location is simply gorgeous. We arrived on bicycles and found them safely stored. The staff were very friendly, and our evening meal was superb—an absolutely lovely, quirky place to stay.

The old pub is beautiful, the rooms were very comfortable, and the bathroom was so clean! Margaret was lovely, served a great breakfast, and arranged transport to the nearby party venue for us.

Margret was a fantastic host—warm, welcoming, and helped accommodate all our needs. The pub is charming, with an amazing mix of interesting art pieces, striking a perfect balance between cosy and a well‑kept county pub. The room was clean, comfortable, and had cosy period features. The food was delicious. We stayed for two nights while attending a wedding, and our time at the Cockerel was perfect for relaxing amid the busy wedding schedule. We highly recommend staying at the Cockerel.
