“Good budget space”
The staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent, but the room felt cramped and the bathroom even smaller.

Riad Africa, a boutique maison d’hôte in Marrakech’s Medina, sits a short walk from Djemaa el Fna. The property features two outdoor pools—one heated—an authentic Moroccan courtyard, and two terraces. Rooms are air‑conditioned, Wi‑Fi enabled, and tastefully furnished with traditional upholstery. Guests enjoy a hammam, lounge, terrace drinks, and chef‑prepared regional specialties. An airport shuttle and proximity to Koutoubia Mosque, markets, and restaurants enhance its appeal.

I fell into one of the pools in the riad because the room had no lights on, ruining my holiday; I now lie in bed with a twisted ankle and missed a mountain climb I couldn't reach. The room was a tiny matchbox with no space to move or store bags, and breakfast was a total disaster—if you want to waste money, skip it. The pool in the middle of the room had no lights or warning barriers, a complete joke of accommodation.

The location was perfect, but the pool and rooftop left something to be desired.

Everything was great, nothing was lacking.

The proximity, price, terrace, and pool were all good, but the shower water didn’t drain properly; we only realized on the day before departure that we had to remove the siphon cover.
