The place was quiet and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was mostly cheap pre‑packaged items from a supermarket; the eggs had an unpleasant aftertaste, the coffee was made with low‑quality beans, and juice and milk were offered in a bland packaging. Natural yogurt was missing. Anyone who wants a quality breakfast should head to a city café, where it isn’t much more expensive.

The Gasthaus Mörla sits in the village center of Mörla, close to Rudolstadt, and stands out for its quiet spot, the very friendly owner, and helpful staff. The kitchen and breakfast are tasty and extensive, and a small issue with our credit card was resolved immediately in a very customer‑friendly, non‑bureaucratic way. The mattresses were very soft, but that’s just a personal impression.

The peaceful setting let me sleep wonderfully, and I managed to get a decent meal shortly after kitchen closing. As a cyclist, you should know that the walk to the inn is quite uphill, which was a bit tiring.
