“For our one night stay it was comfortable, clean and warm.”

The location was convenient, close to our event. We booked a balcony room but never saw it, so we accepted a downstairs room and were upgraded to the Family Suite, which worked well for us at check‑in. The beds were very comfortable and we slept soundly. The AC was available and warmed the room nicely, making it cozy after our late, chilly night out. The only issue was a funky smell from the bathroom that drifted into the room; turning on the noisy fan didn't help. It seemed the vent needed to be directed outside, as we had the door open earlier and didn't notice the odor. Also, the toilet roll holder was on the right side of the toilet, making it awkward to use; it should be on the left wall.

I’ve stayed here many times when visiting family; the location is close to Upper Hutt township and the setting is very quiet. The staff are friendly and even offered to help with our bags. The units are large, and I really like them now that they have air‑cons. The rooms are big, but there’s no 2‑seater couch, so there’s nowhere to sit comfortably. A key drop‑off box at the lower access door into the units would save us from having to walk back up to reception. A baggage trolley at the lower door would also help carry bags from the car to the building. I don’t like the stairs.

Very welcoming, well presented and furnished. On arrival the room was very cold and it took a while to heat up.
