The food was lovely with a good selection, great quality, and generous portion sizes. The staff were very friendly and attentive, except for one young lady at the bar area. The room was clean. The only issue was the pillows; they flattened completely when you lie on them, so the hotel needs to invest in better quality pillows.

The staff were very nice, the hotel is idyllic, and the bathroom was new and clean. Parking in front of the building is free. The hotel is older; we stayed in the annex, and the way there was rather convoluted with several stairs up and down, no elevator, which was a bit tiring with heavy luggage. Our room was fairly small. We were very disappointed at breakfast that we had to pay extra for cappuccino—this is the first time on our trip that has happened. The breakfast service was friendly but very slow, meaning we had to wait a long time. Overall, the value for money didn’t quite fit our expectations.

I like the views and location, but there’s a busy road at night with traffic. Noise after 11 am from floors and water pipes, food not great—reheats, cold undercooked and overcooked. Pillows were bad, poor quality; the bath stopper didn’t work, and the bed was told to be large but it was a small double.

The location is great for various hikes. All staff were really friendly and attentive. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I loved the style and decor throughout. My room was on the first floor, probably above the restaurant/bar, so the music played all evening and again in the morning, which I could hear clearly; I’m glad I brought earplugs.

The view from our room overlooked a car park, which was the only downside we experienced. The upgraded room still faced the parking lot.
