The owner was courteous and kind, even arranging breakfast for us when we had to leave early. The place sits in a quiet little alley just outside the souk’s chaos, right in the heart of the Medina. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was cleaned and linens were fresh on request, even daily.

“Riad familiar no centro da medina”

The family running the Riad were very welcoming, well‑organized, and polite. Breakfast was good and the location is central, which can make getting there confusing but it’s part of the experience. We dined at the Riad on the first night and ate very well. The room was small and cramped for three people, one of whom was a child, and we felt it needed a renovation. The terrace also looks abandoned and could use a makeover.

The Riad Light of Sun is a solid choice for a stay in Marrakesh. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and we loved the central location right in the Medina, making it easy to explore the old town on foot. Overall, a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, the rooms are very noisy, so privacy is limited; you can hear conversations and sounds from adjacent areas. We also wished for more variety at breakfast, especially fresh fruit.

“An oasis of beautiful calm in the bustle of Marrakech with lovely staff.”

The place is stunning. There’s a private communal lounge on the roof where you can sip mint tea and soak up the sun. It’s tidy, with high‑quality furniture and fixtures. Hasim and the team are lovely and incredibly helpful, arranging transport to and from the hotel and elsewhere on request. Breakfast was a Moroccan‑style continental spread, and the pancake that tastes like a crumpet was fantastic. The price is very good, the location is superb, and surprisingly quiet given how central it is.
