The décor nailed the heritage vibe, and the hosts were fantastic. Steve’s cooking—especially the fresh bread and breakfast—was top‑notch.

We got a tour of the place and Steve even drove us to dinner and back because we had no GPS. He was a big help with planning, but the dog that was required recently was loud and not very friendly.

Das Penghana is an extraordinary B&B with rich history, great space, solid service, and warm hospitality. Absolutely a highlight in Tasmania.

Beautiful property with sweeping Queenstown views. Learning about Penghana’s past was a treat. Karen and Stephen are super friendly, make you feel welcome, and Stephen whips up a great breakfast daily while Karen bakes a fantastic fruitcake. Plus, Sadie the sweet Basset Hound greets you at the door.
