The staff were very friendly, and the dinner at the restaurant was unbelievably good and cheap. Parking was right outside the building, even though the hotel was hosting a wedding. Breakfast was surprisingly good too. The bathroom was almost larger and much more modern than the room itself. My room, however, was terrible – tiny, pitch‑black, with old furniture. The balcony only offered a view of the neighboring balcony. The other room I booked was slightly better, but still had old furniture, despite the photos showing a modern setup. The location right in the middle of the village feels odd. For us the hotel was a mistake, but if you don’t care much about the furnishings and enjoy cycling, it’s fine. Overall, it was just too expensive.

The hotel is well run by the Schneider family. The rooms are nice and modern, the breakfast is good and extensive, and you can also dine well in the evening. We felt completely comfortable throughout our stay!

The rooms and service at this family‑run country hotel are excellent; we’re already on our fourth visit—when we’re in the Altmühltal, we always stay here. Breakfast and the restaurant’s kitchen are also great. The only downside is that the hotel can only be reached by car, but that’s unavoidable in the area.
