The hotel and room were fantastic; I spotted it online and knew my friend would adore its quirky, vintage vibe. It was roomy, comfy, and conveniently located for public‑transport users, with no TV needed for us. The Roosevelt Island parkrun is also easy to reach. Breakfast, like most U.S. hotels, costs extra, yet we received discount vouchers and the food was excellent. The Wi‑Fi in our room could use a booster.

I loved the charm, history, restaurant, and location, but there was no elevator, no TV or coffee maker, and the hot water cycled on and off while showering. I understand this is “the oldest continually operating Inn in DC,” so I’m not surprised by a few quirks.
