I chose to stay at this private hacienda because of its convenient location, just 30 minutes from the airport, and I must say, it was a lifesaver given the chaotic traffic in and out of Oaxaca's city center. The staff, owner, and caretaker, Ulysses, along with the taxi driver, were all incredibly helpful and kind, especially considering I was traveling alone as a woman, arriving and departing in the dark.
