We absolutely loved staying at Il Cavaliere al borgo antico! It felt like stepping back into another era, and its central spot in the tiny town is amazing—quiet and peaceful even right in the middle. Our room was huge, split into two separate rooms, each with its own AC. The private parking was a huge convenience, and the staff were always ready to help. A 20‑30 minute drive took us to some beautiful beaches, which was a great choice.

The location was central and the building historic with antique furnishings, but we had to spend two hours parking and checking in because a feast was happening and the roads were blocked. We almost cancelled until the owner met us and guided us past the police roadblocks. The hotel should have arranged better alternatives for the feast. A bar across the street was crowded and played loud music until 1:30 am on both nights. The maid walked into my room while I was undressed. All communication was via WhatsApp, and we were sent videos on how to park and check in. This place isn’t a hotel as advertised; it’s a guest house with self‑check‑in and self‑check‑out, mostly unstaffed except during breakfast.
