The spacious suite was stylish and comfortable with a great bathroom and views over the garden; the owner was helpful and welcoming, breakfast was delicious, the bed was comfortable, and we were travelling with our dog and she was made very welcome; there is parking on site. Be aware payment is by cheque or cash only.

The suite is beautifully decorated but poorly sound‑proofed; the air‑conditioning is truly great, and the little pony on a fold out toward the garden is adorable. I had been looking forward to this place because of the fantastic reviews, but it was a huge disappointment. It’s not dog‑friendly, since two Jack Russell terriers already dominate the garden, so the host told me I should keep Nala in the room, which was neither cozy nor relaxing. The worst part (and why I can only give it a 6) is that the dogs actually weren’t in the garden most of Saturday, yet the lady apparently couldn’t bear to tell us. The place is right on a road, parking is difficult, the host is slow to appear, and she doesn’t speak a word of English, giving the impression of an A‑team and a B‑team of guests.
