The river view was great, but the bed felt hard and uncomfortable. The hotel was in the middle of huge construction, so it was very loud, and the communal area was hard to enjoy for the same reason. The hot water for tea and coffee was cold, and the bathroom had an open drain that let cockroaches in.

We had a fabulous stay at Teak Villa in Thoeng. The place had everything we needed and the room was great. We liked the separate outside area where we could have coffee in the morning with the beautiful view. Nuey picked went above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth - picking us up from the bus station and taking us to the nearby national park to see the Sunset. There were also bikes and motorbikes which we could use free of charge to go and explore. Would recommend Teak Vila to all travellers or those on holiday in Thoeng!
