Het interieur en de ligging van het hotel. We sliepen in een hele kleine kamer in de kelder in een huis tegenover het hotel. Zicht op de tuin betekenende tegen een muur aan kijken en 1/2 meter beetje groen en rotsen. Prijs - kwaliteit in geen enkele verhouding

We were quite pleased overall with our stay at The Roseate; Edinburgh hotels tend to be pricey, and while we felt the rate was a touch high, the overall standard was solid. The location suited us well—about a 20‑minute walk into the city centre and convenient bus stops right outside the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and tasty, though the service sometimes felt a bit chaotic. The staff throughout the hotel were all extremely friendly and helpful, leaving a very positive impression. Our main letdown was learning that our room was in the basement of a separate building across the main road from the main hotel, something we hadn’t expected. The room itself was fairly small, but it was very clean, well equipped, and, most importantly, very comfortable.

The place was beautiful, with good food and service, but it was a bit awkward to stay across the street from the shared facilities (reception, bar, restaurant). It was also surprising that the rooms were in the basement (cellar) with no view.
