The room was cozy, we ate outside, and the child spent the whole day outdoors—something I prioritize in summer. Host Anton and Nazir helped us settle into the guest house and the city. Nothing was lacking.

Everything was great; we came just to stay one night, then spent the rest of the time on tours and late‑night city walks. The courtyard was cozy, and we could enjoy a nice Samarkand beer under the trees. The adorable newborn kittens were a highlight. A big thank you to Anton, the host! The only downside was the outdoor facilities. It’s a minor issue. We had to pay an extra fee for the air‑conditioner, which we didn’t even use.

The exterior reminded me of a Black Sea coastal stay from the past, like staying with a grandmother. We had a room in a single‑storey building with access to a small shared courtyard where the local family lives. In the courtyard there’s a “topchik” where they serve breakfast. The room is quite spacious and fully equipped. The renovation and furniture look old‑fashioned, but everything was functional. The bathroom and shower are separate, right in the room. The plumbing is good, with a boiler, and there were no water problems at all. There’s no air‑conditioner, but in +33°C in May it was cool, probably because the sun barely hits it. It was even a bit damp, which is surprising for that climate. The hosts are welcoming and offered tasty tea. They speak Russian fluently. The breakfasts are good and local. When we left early, they still prepared breakfast for us—thanks for that. The center is reachable by public transport, but the surrounding area is very developed and lively. At night it was quiet. It’s a good option for those who aren’t very demanding but want a heartfelt, colorful stay. I ended up paying more than listed on Booking because of city taxes, which is unpleasant since I’d like to see the final amount when booking. It would be nice to renovate the room or refresh some furniture to make it more pleasant. The internet kept dropping intermittently.

The family service and the people at the reception were very friendly.
