It’s run down now; it had character once but not anymore. The rooms smell musty, the outdoor tables are rusted, and the pond and garden are neglected.

The owners Raphaelle and Dana were welcoming and unforgettable, fresh fruit from their own garden was offered at breakfast on the terrace, and even a table tennis game with another guest was possible; staying at La Gracette is an experience for anyone who loves life.

The location near the city, the cleanliness of the bathroom, and the parking were convenient, but the loft gets very hot; fortunately air conditioning was available, and in the loft area the minimum height after the stairs is 150 cm while the maximum height is 2 m.

The atmosphere, the kindness and hospitality of Mrs. Raphaelle, and the excellent petit‑déjeuner under the pergola served with finesse—croissants, fruit, fresh local products—were delightful; a small village with a bar and boulangerie is 5 minutes away. The place is not very close to Aix en Provence, reachable via a busy road, and the beautiful house sits on the edge of an industrial area that slightly spoils its charm.

The friendliness of the landlord couple and their understanding about the room change, the quiet surroundings, and the available parking were positives, and the new room met our expectations, but the photos online did not match the actual condition of the first rented room.
