The only thing I liked about the accommodation were the views. The place was dirty, full of spiders, and when I tried to use a glass it was filthy as if it hadn't been cleaned in months; the bathroom had mold, and what was advertised was completely different from what I saw upon arrival.

“Entorno agradable, pero los apartamentos precisan renovar”

The main house where breakfast, the bar, and the porch are located is beautiful and well maintained, and the pool area is new with toys for kids and plenty of green space. The apartments, however, were in poor condition: our door was flimsy, the door and windows were poorly insulated with visible gaps, and the interior, though basic, was very old and gave a bad impression; there was no air conditioning.

The estate was beautiful, peaceful and lush, with a great pool, sauna and hammam, and the offered activities—tours, workshops, talks and entertainment—were of high quality; my daughter loved the kids’ club for ages 3‑6, and the reception and animation teams were charming. A special thanks to Fabienne, the manager, for her warm welcome, kindness and tips on exploring the area, and to Emma for her energy— we enjoyed the Basque pelota introduction, the fantastic guided tour of Espelette and the fitness‑dance class. On the downside, the accommodation let us down: when we arrived several issues appeared—the kitchen light and one socket didn’t work, two other sockets were pulling out of the wall; maintenance fixed them quickly but we had to deal with it on day 1. The woodwork was worn and gnawed (the front door was hard to close), the terrace was far too small for our family of 5, and dust covered the furniture.

The kitchen is excellent and varied, and the setting is stunning. The staff are skilled and friendly. This year, we found the evening entertainment less interesting than in previous years.
