The dinner buffet offered a great variety, and the sashimi was tasty, though the grilled ayu over the hearth was overly salty and disappointing; breakfast felt plain in comparison. The worst part was the room’s strong mold smell, the weak air‑conditioning in August made it hard to sleep, and the windows couldn’t be opened because there were no screens, while the tiny, tidy lobby on the first floor only highlighted how dated the rest of the place felt.
