The cabin in the woods had clean air, good food, and a comfortable bed. However, we paid €150 for one night and didn’t even receive towels, which required an extra charge. There was no key or lock for the room, so we had to ask for it. The floors creaked, there was no soundproofing, and neighbors were noisy until 12 am and again from 6 am, making it impossible to sleep. The shower was poor, with water not draining well. The price‑quality ratio was very off. Previously we stayed in Lauterbrunnen’s center for €100/night and the conditions were much better. Getting there is inconvenient, expensive, and not worth it.

The place was filthy and loud. The mattress was ordinary, the linens were terrible, and the blankets were probably not ironed for a couple of years. The shower and toilet were gross and dirty. Even plain water required an extra fee, and electricity was prohibited—no outlets at all, not even to charge a phone. The food consisted of frozen semi‑prepared items with no choice. Walking to the location was possible, but driving was dangerous.
“À FUIR PUNAISES DE LIT”
The stay was unacceptable. The room was infested with visible bedbugs in the bed and on the dirty mattresses. There was no hygiene, no maintenance, and the hotel failed to meet basic sanitary standards, endangering guests' health. I risked bringing the infestation home. We arrived at midnight and reported it via the booking platform and WhatsApp; they offered us room six, but trust was broken, especially since there were old reviews over two years old with the same issue. Unfortunately, we had taken the room last minute after a 600 km drive and were exhausted, and the next day we had a hike in Kandersteg, so we had to sleep in the car.
The experience was terrible.
