“Silple room. Exquisite breakfast.”

The hostel has tiny rooms in a separate building, while the main building hosts breakfast, which is outstanding—really nice. I guess the dinners must be great too, but I didn’t try. The location is great if you’re visiting with a rental car.

“Zelfs voor deze prijs niet meer van deze tijd.”

The location is good, the breakfast is okay but nothing special. The receptionist in the morning was pleasant. The room quality was below standard—more like a monastery cell without that charm. A WC in the hallway is outdated. The evening staff were not focused on their duties and locked guests out while they were chatting at the bar. They acted as if they didn’t hear the phone, which rang loudly through the building: “all our staff are in conversation.”

“Amazing stay! Will definetly return!”

I loved my stay at Landgoed Kalenberg! The staff was super helpful and really made sure I had an easy and comfortable stay. I loved my little room, the breakfast, and I also had a lovely dinner at the place! The nature around looked amazing, so I’ll definitely be coming back next year! The bed in the small room was a bit short. For me, it was a perfect fit, but if you’re taller than 1.80 meters, you should consider communicating with the staff beforehand. They are super nice, so they will definitely help you the best they can!

Good value for money. The room was fine, small but fully equipped. The breakfast was good and the restaurant within the same accommodation was also good.
