The staff were nice and the location is good if you want train access, though the bus isn’t close to the city centre; it’s right near the bus stop so it’s easy to get to it. Breakfast was good. The elevator and TV were broken but they fixed them ASAP, and the room was very small.

The location is very convenient, near the station but without any problems arising from that, so it’s easy to make last‑minute choices of train or bus for various mountain walks. It’s only about 5 minutes walk up into the town centre, and the hotel provided a pass giving free use of local transport including cable cars.

The room was big and clean. When we checked in in the evening, the lady at the reception was very unfriendly and told us that water is free today but if you drink it tomorrow you will pay. My husband has knee issues and was struggling with a suitcase; I know it’s not her job, but a little kindness would have helped. The next day, when we checked out, the young man at the front desk was nice.
