“A unique experience”
The beach‑front spot is beautiful and the Starlink wifi is strong. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, arranging a moto‑taxi to Tayrona Park and giving us tips on what to do. The food was also really yummy. You can walk to other beachfront hostels/hotels for dinner, and Los Hermanos makes great pizza. As other reviews say, it’s not for the faint of heart – you’re literally camping on the beach, so bring plenty of bug repellent and loose clothing for the humid heat. We also spotted loads of wildlife that capped off the stay – a cotimundi, an anteater, and monkeys. The tents are definitely worn. The zip on our tent didn’t close and on the first night we had over seven crabs inside. Staff came right away and patched the gap, but that’s only a temporary fix. The ‘Noni’ tent entrance needs proper repair since crabs are a repeat offender. A mosquito net over the bed would also improve comfort, especially with all the gaps for them to get through.
