One of my best stays in Japan – the hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the traditional Japanese tatami room was absolutely excellent.

The owners were very nice. During the busy season there was no meal service, but they gave us a welcome drink of local sake from a nearby brewery, and we enjoyed Tottori snacks bought at the supermarket together. Nearby hot springs and spring water are said to be beautiful, and you can see clear stars on a sunny night – a great place. The road was a bit narrow.

As other reviews said, the owner couple were very kind, and the communication before arrival was quick and courteous. Since the facility only had showers, they pointed out nearby hot springs and provided extra futons if more guests came, all handled politely. After arrival, they carried luggage, checked availability at recommended restaurants in advance, and even escorted us at checkout – truly warm service. I felt the warmth of people and will definitely stay again when I visit Tottori. The roads around the inn are a bit narrow; the west side route (from the big tabunoki) is easier. There is also a north side route, but our Toyota Noah barely fit; a minivan would need a bit more parking skill.

The owners are genuinely friendly, and their tuk‑tuk tour plan was a highlight. Nothing else to complain about.
