The place is gorgeous, well maintained and spotless, and the rooms are beautiful as are the common areas. It’s great that there’s covered parking that’s easily accessible from the whole property. The staff at the restaurant and bar were not very well trained, especially at the bar where they were reluctant to ask us what we wanted. We had to step in both times to ask if they could bring us the card.

The wood design and coziness are very nice, and the Hochtal itself is beautiful. The surroundings are partly a mix of unfinished construction sites, especially the underground parking and the cable car station.

The location is great, though a bit high up on the mountain. Getting there involves a partly narrow mountain road. Communication with the staff was only in English, which was sometimes a bit tricky but always worked out in the end.

We were given a warm welcome. The hotel room was wonderful. We really liked the wooden furniture and its quality. Breakfast was good and the staff were attentive. It is noticeable that not all the construction work has been completed yet (e.g. warning tape or rubbish lying around) . This detracts from the view a little. Furthermore, not all the dishes served in the restaurant were tasty
