A good choice for a short stay in Beijing. It’s within walking distance of Dongzhimen Station (Lines 2 and 13 and the Capital Airport Express) and Beixinqiao Station (Line 5). The area offers many local food spots, including the famous Guijie food street. A 10‑15 minute taxi ride will get you to key sights such as Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and Wangfujing; during rush hour the metro is more convenient (the Airport Express connects the airport with Dongzhimen/Beixinqiao). The hotel is in a business area; reception is on the 3rd floor and staff will point the way at the entrance. The staff were very polite and helped arrange advance registration for Tiananmen Square (note: same‑day registration is impossible). Rooms feature a very large bathroom with both a bathtub (city view, not very scenic) and a shower—very convenient.
I stayed in a big, clean room that was right next to the subway and surrounded by great restaurants, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
“All perfect if it wasn’t for the restaurant service”
Main reception was great, check in went very smoothly and we even got a room upgrade which was incredible - one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever been. Housekeeping was great, really nice and careful. Both experiences in the restaurant were uncomfortable (not to say bad). On our first night we went to have dinner and they clearly wanted us to eat fast, they even interrupted our meal just to have me paying. Two days after we went for breakfast - we went at 9:55 since we were told that they could serve us until 10:30, but apparently it was only until 10:00. As a result, we had a waiter going after us with the translator saying “take all the food you want because we will start removing it”. Within 5min there was no food and we spent all breakfast with the background noise of the employees laughing, joking and cleaning around the area. We never came back to the restaurant because of this
The hotel is next to the “ghost street” food market and close to Dongzhimen station, which gets you everywhere (including the Airport Express to the capital airport). The room is large and clean. The staff is great and everything ran smoothly.
The spot was convenient, close to the airport link, Hutong, the city centre, and plenty of eateries, but the check‑out confusion was frustrating: my booking said 3 PM, yet the staff rang my room at 2 PM to insist the hotel policy was 2 PM, threatening a half‑day charge if I stayed until 3 PM. I asked them to double‑check, but they stuck to the earlier time. My key stopped working at 2 PM, blocking lift access to reception, which made me wonder if the policy was truly in place or just a miscommunication. There’s no large supermarket nearby, and the street‑facing room was noisy from traffic—better to request a room on the quieter side.
