Komobuchi village is a very nice and relaxing place. With my friends, we went there for two days and we had an amazing time. You really feel at home in this house. I think the highlight of this place is Nakajima-san, the owner. He has a very bright and cheerful personality and he made us really feel at ease. We had very interesting conversations and it was very nice to have him around. I recommend this place to everyone going in Shikoku, even if the location is a bit far from Uwajima city. If I have the chance, I would go back again!

I ended up lost on a road that led me to a village of just 20 people, and the place was a very authentic Japanese lodging. The owner was lovely and spoke Japanese, and we spent a wonderful evening chatting with him. I highly recommend this accommodation.

I enjoyed talking about the local history and the owner’s life, who is quite elderly. The bathroom is shared with the owner, but it never felt intrusive, and I could relax as if I were at home. The only downside was that the location was a bit far from the main area.
