The pousada itself is wonderful, sitting in a prime spot close to Tibau’s centre and near Pipa, with a very good unit infrastructure and direct beach access. I was displeased with three things: I had asked for an extra mattress in each unit when booking and was told it would be arranged, yet when my daughter‑in‑law, her mother and my two kids arrived, the staff said they would upgrade the rooms to include an extra bed for an additional R$ 100.00, so my son, aware of my request, simply paid the extra R$ 100 on top of the R$ 1 274,40 reservation, ending up charging R$ 1 374,40 (note that, as a loyal guest, I’m entitled to a free upgrade, which the pousada knew about, making the charge incorrect). Secondly, the listing advertised a small breakfast, but when my children asked about it they were told it no longer existed because the new management had cut it out. Thirdly, I received an email from the booking site asking whether I had actually stayed, since the pousada had cancelled my reservation and reported to the site that my family never checked in, even though everyone did stay (the booking platform still shows the reservation as cancelled).

The service was excellent, we were welcomed warmly, and the breakfast was delicious and well served.

Excellent value for money, the staff is incredibly good, friendly and helpful, the breakfast is first‑class, better than at a 5‑star resort. I’ll come back soon and stay for a few days.
