The two private rooms in this old town house—one living room and one bedroom—were beautifully restored, spacious, bright, and very comfortable, and the host was charming and helpful.

The accommodation was suitable, with a spacious room and a separate office‑bathroom; the owner supplied coffee and fresh milk every day (4 times) and croissants each morning, and the coffee‑making facilities were there—indeed the only hotel in 20 bookings to do so. The building was very, very old, so it wasn’t a place you’d bring a new girlfriend to. It worked for us because we were out working every day in the region. The town was dire: most shops were closed and there were no restaurants. It had been very French, but now the French have left and been replaced by many migrants, and the markets have disappeared. The town itself is decrepit, and the property, while suitable for us, would not be for everyone.

It’s a very original place, perfectly restored, and the owner was very kind and let us stay with our puppy without any problem; there was also tea and a welcome pastry. All in all, welcoming and unique, highly recommended. It was a bit cold, normal given the size of the room, but the shower was marvelous and very hot.

A beautiful historic house with very large rooms, but it was cold despite the strong heating, heat loss through the large windows, and there was no kettle for tea or a coffee maker.
