The staff were very kind and accommodating; when we arrived our Alipay account wasn’t working, so they kindly let us pay a small cash deposit to settle it the next day. Daily attention: we were given enough bottled water each day, which is much appreciated in China where tap water is discouraged. Comfort and facilities: the room was quite adequate with ample space, a large TV, a practical shower, and especially impeccable, very comfortable bedding—a real plus for a 15‑day stay. The location was ideal: a lively neighbourhood well served by the main metro lines to the city centre, and only a 25‑minute taxi ride from Disneyland. The overall cleanliness was very poor: housekeeping barely cleaned (dusty floors, surfaces, sink, and toilet bowl never cleaned). I had to use my own disinfecting wipes throughout the stay. The client‑only elevator was also very dirty (stains on the walls, trash on the floor) because it was used to transport large, odorous bins. We even saw a large dead cockroach in the service staircase. The cigarette smell was unbearable: from the first night, a persistent cold‑smoke odor woke me up and made it impossible to fall back asleep. After observing, the smell seemed to travel through the ventilation ducts (making a room change pointless). The staff in the corridors smelled very strong of cigarettes, suggesting they had just smoked before cleaning, or worse, were smoking while cleaning the rooms.

The location was very nice, and the staff at the counter were amazing and very helpful. I forgot my wallet in a cab and the receptionist, despite a language barrier, used an online translator to contact the driver through the cab helpline and resolved the issue for me. The elevator could use a little cleaning; I understand it’s shared, but it somewhat ruins the journey from the reception desk to your room.

1. It’s a seven‑minute walk to the metro, 2. ordering delivery brings a robot right to your door, which is super convenient, and 3. the room stays dark and quiet until sunrise. The downside is that the third floor of the building houses an internet café, so strangers share the elevator.

The staff were attentive and helpful, the room was clean and the location convenient; they even let us keep the room until 19 o’clock for a quick shower before our long return flight after a small extra fee, and the breakfast was simple but adequate.
