The hotel’s architecture felt very colonial Canadian, the room décor and the exterior were nice, and the breakfast was great. The air‑conditioning was too loud, so I had to turn it off; the room was too close to the elevator, which buzzes when it opens, making it noisy; there was no shower head in the shower.

I liked the activities, the location by the water, the hotel staff, and the breakfast. The only thing I didn’t like was the shower water pressure—it was just a trickle.

Breakfast was fantastic and included in the room rate, but the Spa at Windermere let me down. The staff weren’t friendly when I entered or left, and my facial cost over $300 with tax and tip. I spent 40 minutes having layers of Eminence products applied, with a massage between each coat, but no exfoliation or real aesthetic work—just more product sales. Afterward my face felt slick and oily and I had to wash it before leaving. I wouldn’t recommend the Spa for a facial, and I didn’t try any other services.

The location was good, but the food at the Pub restaurant was terrible and the breakfast was awful—stone‑cold dishes, though the coffee was hit and really good.
