The place was perfect for a solo traveler. Melbourne’s size means you’ll want to hop on trams and public transport to get around, and this spot’s location makes that a breeze, plus it’s close to the beach. The only downside was the kitchen – it looked a bit dated and could use an upgrade.

The staff were lovely and everyone was friendly and considerate. I’m Australian, so I’d have liked to stay longer, but other guests from back home were causing a bit of trouble, which made it hard to extend my visit.

The lady staff were friendly and the kitchen was great – everything a backpacker could need. Honestly, I can’t find anything to complain about.

The staff were super kind and my room was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was a bit cramped, and there were a lot of long‑term guests using the dining table, so it was hard to get a seat and I ended up eating standing up. The kitchen wasn’t exactly pristine.
