The rooms were clean and great, and the staff were excellent, but finding the reception was a bit difficult—I didn’t realize I had to go through the mall and wasn’t sure where to be dropped off, so a bit more guidance on check‑in would help.

The location is excellent, but the furniture is old, the bed is very small and uncomfortable, cleanliness is modest, there’s no phone in the room so you have to go to reception for anything, and the tiny sink in the bathroom doesn’t come with water bottles unless you remove them yourself.

The front desk staff were friendly. The bathtub had brown water one evening, which was very uncomfortable, and the windows let in a lot of street noise.

The spot is great – the area is lively and fun, full of nice restaurants and bars where my family with teens felt safe and secure. I’d recommend the hotel because it sits right above a charming little shopping strip with a supermarket, health & wellness, liquor store, etc. The downside is the street‑side noise; if you can get a high‑floor apartment you’ll see the sea instead of Lion Rock and avoid it.
