Hotel Doge, Milano Marittima, sits on a quiet, leafy avenue just 30 m from the beach and near the port. Guests enjoy a large garden, heated outdoor pool with children’s area, and a terrace serving breakfast and pool‑side drinks. Amenities include a summer kids’ club, games room, internet point, TV lounge, partner‑gym access, air‑conditioned rooms with garden, pool or sea views, satellite TV, minibar, and an à‑la‑carte Italian restaurant.

The room was lovely, the staff were great, and it was clean and spacious. I used the pool and had it to myself. The breakfast was great. It was a little out of town and a good 30‑minute walk to the start of the IM, which was the reason for our stay. Having said that, the little ferry saved a bit of time (not open on Monday) and as the marathon passed the door, the hotel staff were great in lending us chairs to sit on as we supported.

The place was spacious, clean, and close to town and the beaches. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was good at a fair price.

The breakfast was fantastic, the pool was okay, and the location was also good. I would improve the toilet plumbing.
