This little guest house is a real quiet paradise on Elephantine Island; the rooms are comfy and the staff genuinely care about our satisfaction. Breakfast and meals were decent, the rooftop is perfect with a gorgeous view of the Nile, and the island is car‑free, ideal for unwinding.

We only booked the accommodation, but could eat breakfast nearby. The young man running the guesthouse for his cousin was very friendly and smart, and he organized trips for us, picking reliable drivers at fair prices. Everything was wonderful.

The property sits on Elephantine Island, giving peace, quiet and a unique vibe. The room was medium‑sized, but we had to get creative with our stuff. The room, bedding and bathroom were clean; the beds were very comfortable with firm mattresses. The room had air‑conditioning, a fan, a fridge and a kettle. The host and family live downstairs and help out if needed. Breakfast was off‑site. There are several restaurants nearby, including a very good one in the adjacent building. A big plus is the support for arranging transport and tours from Baky. The services offered are high‑quality, tailored to needs and reasonably priced. We spent a wonderful six days.

Excellent stay at King Mina. The room is comfortable, the AC works, and there's a small fridge. The rooftop offers a lovely view. It's quiet and there are several restaurants around. The public ferry is close (5‑10 min walk, 15 LE). Baky, the manager, is very friendly and accommodating, arranging excursions and transport. We arrived from the station, took a taxi plus a private boat to the hotel for 6 $ and got a free return. We recommend it because the hotel can be hard to find otherwise, and the price seems very fair for the convenience. We also took three on‑site excursions organized by Baky and his quality team (Abu Simbel, Philae, and a private tour of the west coast). The organization and communication are smooth. We strongly recommend.
