The location was fine, but the facilities were quite old and there was no rain shelter connecting the parking area to the main entrance.

The room was new and clean, close to Huatai, just a walk away, and the front‑desk staff were friendly; the first‑floor lounge had cookies, beer, and coffee. The only downside was that the room was a bit small.

The space was wide and clean, the king‑size bed very comfortable, and the location was excellent—directly opposite the park and calligraphy museum and within 15 minutes of the airport. During check‑in the staff asked if we needed a taxi, which was thoughtful. There was a simple, tidy dining area and a food bar. The room had only one chair; this particular room type had a bathroom facing out, but I would have preferred a room with an outside window. The bathroom itself was spacious and comfortable.

I stayed here twice - at the beginning and end of my Taiwan trip. Both times the staff (especially Nilgisa, who is fantastic) went above and beyond to courteously and efficiently assist with my every need or question. Truly wonderful and professional people! The hotel and rooms are clean and well designed, room rates are reasonable, and the snack room with coffee, juice, beer, and snacks is a good place to hangout for a drink or takeaway. The location is great for an overnight before or after an international flight, with easy access to all trains (15-min walk or quick, cheap taxi) or the airport (nearby subway) and a 7-Eleven (for breakfast stuff) and restaurants right around the corner, as well as a huge mall across from the train station. I was very pleased with my experience and highly recommend a stay at the Alfar!. Nothing

Everything was simple, friendly, and probably the best hotel we found in Taiwan; it’s a shame we only stayed there for one night before our flight 😁.
