Good location, very close to public transportation, safe and clean surroundings. Some nice restaurants in the area and near beautiful parks. The famous alamo park was 10 min walk. For the price, it was a good deal. Front desk was a bit aloof, and there’s no elevators. If you’re not fit enough to lug a big heavy suitcase up and then down the stairs, then this might not be a good fit for you. Staff don’t help. The hotel / room does have a funky smell. but you quickly get used to it. It was fine for me in the end. I took the rooms with shared restroom and it wasn’t bad actually - was always kept clean and there’s always hot water / toilet paper

“You get what you pay for, which isn’t always the case.”

It was clean. There was an issue which the nice lady who did the cleaning took care of immediately with no attitude, just a smile. Extremely small room. A tell-tale piece of sticky paper for rats on the floor. I didn’t see any, but eeek! Bare bones, but good for the price

Staff was so helpful and room had aura and location is near to central places

Location. Cleaning staff were good. The old fashioned style was quaint. I got a slightly early checkin which I appreciated. The shower on my floor was broken and remained so despite my reporting it. The doors in the room didn't open fully. The WiFi didn't work. The room was hot and noisy due to the building design. Overall it seemed overpriced
