Out Of The Blue Resort & Spa, in Agia Pelagia, boasts private botanical gardens on its peninsula. The resort features 7 freshwater pools, 7 restaurants, and a spa with hydrotherapy pool. Accommodations resemble a Cretan village, with balconies offering garden or sea views. Fresh ingredients are grown in 3 on-site greenhouses. The Euphoria Spa offers massages, hydrotherapies, hamam, and sauna. Free parking and nearby Minoan Palace of Knossos.

The setting is beautiful and the walking distance to the nearby village was a big plus. The infrastructure feels very outdated and somewhat carelessly assembled, with worn furniture and a lot of broken equipment.

The room was lovely and the red pepper dish tasted good. The only place where we could eat red pepper was that one spot; everywhere else the beach bar was either closed or not serving food. The all‑inclusive drinks weren’t worth it – the wine, beer and spirits were of low quality. The gym was very poor, with only two working machines; the rest were broken, the water machine was empty, so it wasn’t a great experience.

The double room was extremely large and quiet. In the bathroom and toilet there was noise from the flush and water drainage – we could hear the water running through the pipes and droplets at the end.
