“Un amateurisme du B and B : Besoin de Bizness”
What I liked was the proximity to the Water front, the train station, the Monday market, the closeness to Pointe D'esny and Blue Bay, the many scattered general stores, Grillicious a bit higher up, and the two Dhull Purri vendors. The breakfast left a lot to be desired: the dairy drinks and coffee were far too diluted, so the flavors were basically nonexistent, and I even had a case of spoiled milk. The solids (bread, eggs, pancakes…) were a bit better, but that still doesn’t justify paying for breakfast. The host cooks the egg, pancakes and serves the bread. Only the condiments (chocolate, not much Ferrero, jams and a small butter spread) are already on the table. In my opinion, it’s not worth paying for the extra package; just grab your stuff the night before at a nearby shop and prepare it in the morning before you leave. This shows a lack of professionalism; the host seemed more interested in enriching himself than serving guests. The room itself was too small, the bathroom too close to the bed, and the tiny verandas ended up intruding on the room, which is supposed to be the main space. A nicer interior décor, better materials, wall colors, and some decent furniture would not be a luxury. In the end, I wasn’t expecting a boutique hotel; I chose it just to sleep and do my errands during the day, so if it’s just a place to crash at night and leave the next morning, that’s fine, without the breakfast and preferably alone. In any case, even though I’m not a picky person and I’m satisfied with little, I won’t stay in this type of B and B or with a local host again. I’ll pay for a real hotel.
