“The worst hotel I have ever stayed at”
The view and the nice employees at the reception. I am 45 years old, I have travelled extensively and stayed in hotels all over the world, and I can honestly say that this is one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. We stayed in a Premium Bungalow, and the reality was nowhere near what you would expect from this category. The food is almost exactly the same every day. There is very little variety, and after eating chicken in one form or another day after day, I genuinely don’t think I want to see chicken again for a very long time. The water situation is ridiculous. The tap water is not suitable for drinking, yet the hotel provides only one 1-litre bottle of water per room per day for two people. Getting an additional bottle feels like a lottery. For a hotel of this price and category, this is simply unacceptable. The telephone in the room didn’t work, meaning that if you need room service or want to contact reception, you have to physically walk to the reception desk yourself. The Wi-Fi was also extremely poor and unreliable. The worst part of the room was the sewage smell coming from the bathroom drains. On some days it was so strong and unpleasant that it was difficult to stay in the room. And again, this was a Premium Bungalow. I also experienced something I have never experienced during a hotel stay before. Every morning, while in the room, I would start sneezing continuously and uncontrollably and had what felt like severe allergy symptoms. Whatever the cause was, I had never experienced anything like this in a hotel before, and it made the mornings extremely unpleasant. The staff were very inconsistent. The reception team were generally helpful, and I would especially like to acknowledge one particular female receptionist who was genuinely kind and professional. Unfortunately, the attitude of the employee at the pool bar was the complete opposite — extremely unpleasant and intimidating, making you feel uncomfortable simply for asking for something
