The Whitford House Hotel, on New Line Road, is a family-run property 3 miles from Wexford town and 17 minutes' drive from Rosslare Europort. It features a leisure club with a 20-metre pool, sauna, steam room, and fitness centre. Each room has complimentary WiFi, en-suite power shower, flat-screen TV, and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel offers onsite parking, an award-winning Forthside Bar Bistro, and a beauty salon.

The bedroom was fine, but the approach to the room number was a bit intimidating. In the dining room, everyone knew your number and it was repeated loudly along with what you ordered for breakfast. I could hear what the guests in the next‑door bathroom were doing.

The room and bath were great, though it was a bit cold because the weather was turning. The chicken wings weren’t crispy, but otherwise everything was fine.

There was plenty to do for every taste, with a good selection of shops, plenty of walks, and Johnstown Castle nearby. The bar menu was excellent, offering options for children, celiacs, and vegans. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable!

Everything was perfect: a beautiful room, an excellent restaurant, and a spectacular health club with paddle courts. The only downside is that you need a car because it’s out of the city proper.

I really enjoyed my experience: the food was lovely, the staff were very friendly, the place was very clean, and breakfast was great. The staff at breakfast were all so friendly and there were plenty of choices. Nothing was disliked.
