The Lodge Hotel and Banquets is located near Interstate 270 and 70, close to Lambert St. Louis International Airport. The hotel features a heated indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness centre. Guest rooms include refrigerators, tea and coffee-making facilities, microwaves, and hairdryers. Billiards and a launderette are available. Saint Louis city centre, Gateway Arch, and Busch Stadium are within a 25-minute drive.

The waffles at breakfast were just okay, everything else on the menu was pretty bad, and I didn’t find much else worth mentioning. We booked two rooms and discovered multiple cockroaches in each; the rooms were overall not very clean. The inside of the hotel was scorching and poorly ventilated. All in all, it was just a place to sleep, so I had to quarantine my stuff to avoid bringing roaches home. I had another room booked for next weekend but had to cancel that trip.

The pool is nice, and the front desk lady is always friendly. The rooms are decent for the price and location, especially since they’re renovating to bring back the hotel’s former glory. Breakfast is very good. I don’t like that the back doors to the property don’t latch, and the room door locks could use an upgrade; it didn’t feel very secure if someone uninvited entered.

The staff. The location. The price. The room was dirty, the hotel had signs that started under renovation. The room had no trash can, there were mysterious stains on the furniture, luckily there were no bed bugs; we checked. The room we had was an old room. It was next to the other rooms that were being remodeled. I didn't like that when we walked out, we got to the balcony area. That made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable. I didn't have time to ask for a different room. We only had two towels; for a party of 2, we usually have 4 in any other room we have stayed in. The elevator to our floor was ABSOLUTELY filthy!! Garbage, dirt, grass, stains, it was awful! Our Uber driver, from the area, told us that the hotel is a very sketchy place. He called it a "hooker hotel" prostitution happens a lot there. If we had known this! We wouldn't have booked. I highly recommend NOT, ABSOLUTELY NOT staying here!
