1 double bed
The people were lovely, the place was lovely, the bungalows were new and super clean, and the view was amazing. I stayed again for five days. It’s truly a jewel in Koh Rong.
A hidden paradise on the island, with a magnificent view; the family who welcomes you takes care of everything! Moto rentals, boat tours, arrival and departure—all perfect! Thank you very much.
An extraordinary experience. Extremely remote. You’re transferred by boat. The hosts are unbelievably friendly.
“Bon etablissement isolé et bon rapport qualité prix!”
The place has huge potential. A few things could be improved. The accommodation is really quiet and I think it’s the most isolated spot on the island, which is great for avoiding crowds and recharging. The view from the bungalows is incredible. The bungalows only have the essentials: a bed, a mosquito net and a fan, so it can be uncomfortable for people who can’t tolerate heat because the establishment doesn’t have air‑conditioning. Solar‑only power means outages are common at night until dawn, and there’s no Wi‑Fi in the rooms. The managers are attentive and available at the front desk or by phone at all times, and they provide fishing nets and bait to keep you busy. The on‑site food is good and reasonably priced. You can also rent scooters from the managers for $10 a day, but be careful with the “roads,” which are mostly rough paths. The beach where swimming is allowed is about twenty minutes on foot, but nothing impossible. The hotel’s boat is a resin dinghy with a small engine that didn’t withstand recent ocean conditions; when we arrived we learned it had sunk the day before because of waves, so no shuttle to Lilys Beach was possible, but they organized a scooter transfer for our luggage. Because the location is in the north of the island, it’s much less touristy than the south and we couldn’t do the afternoon boat activity—snorkeling, fishing, plankton—that the manager had recommended via message because there weren’t enough people… incredible. We stayed six nights, no housekeeping was offered, so we had to ask for toilet paper and towel changes. Many dishes on the restaurant menu turned out to be unavailable due to shortages. The ocean brings a lot of plastic waste to the beaches and surroundings, which isn’t the hotel’s fault, but it would have been nice if the area around the bungalows, which are only 100 m from the shore, had been cleaned up.
“Lovely for a few days of complete relaxation”
The location is lovely for a few days of complete relaxation on the hammock with fantastic views or on the loungers on the jetty. No beach but can swim from the jetty and walk to Lonely beach (about 30 mins - stick to path next to the sea) or the staff will take you by boat for free and collect you later. 2 other restaurants there. Good, helpful staff and some speak very good English. The menu. It appeared a nice selection at first but a lot of the items were not available and no fish for 2 nights in a row which is surprising on an island. Although I appreciate a lot is brought in from the mainland. Food was not great taste or quality. Was a bit disappointed that the sister restaurant on Lonely had exactly the same menu. The restaurant was also closed when we went down a couple of times (once at 8.30 which was before closing time of 9 so went hungry!). Take snacks as nothing close by. We also rented a moped which had a faulty back brake, ran out of fuel (was supposed to be fall) and no working lights. Staff were aware of these faults but be careful if you are not an experience bike rider
