Every year we return to this family‑run hotel, modest but gradually modernising, and the view of the Baía de Roses is spectacular. The pool is pleasant and the staff are friendly, though the breakfast quality was lacking since we were on the last days of the season.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, but the breakfast was a mess – unhygienic and we only managed a coffee after asking for a cup without lipstick. Don’t spend your money on the breakfast.

The meals and breakfast were very good, the room was quiet and nice, and the staff were friendly. The pool was large and enjoyable, though it needs a refresh in the off‑season. A few towel hooks are missing, and there’s a strong, unpleasant cleaning‑product smell in the hall and corridors, but nothing serious.

I took a moment to write this review. We’ve stayed in many hotels in Spain, and sometimes we feel we’re placed in the worst room. This hotel is another example. It has 51 rooms and was definitely not fully booked. We were given a room next to the staircase. At first we didn’t notice, but during dinner everyone had to go up the stairs to the dining room, creating a lot of noise in our room. I checked and found a metal‑step staircase attached to our wall. The same noise woke us up at breakfast. At checkout the receptionist asked if everything was satisfactory. We complained about the poor room and the stair noise. She confirmed that after renovations, complaints about the stairs have increased. When I asked why we were given this room if the hotel wasn’t full, she didn’t answer. When I asked if we received it because we had booked, she suddenly didn’t understand English. In short, don’t book!
